Each Linguistics minor involves 25 hours of courses in Linguistics, and has 201/202/601 as one of the required courses. Each minor must take at least one 500-level course; where appropriate, with the advisor's permission the student may substitute a corresponding 600-level course. That leaves three additional courses to be chosen in consultation with the advisors in both the Major and Minor departments. The following should be viewed as suggestions, which may be over-ridden by a student's particular interests and needs, as permitted by the advisors.

• 621 Elementary Sanskrit (= Sanskrit 621)
• 622 Classical Sanskrit (= Sanskrit 622; prereq: 621)
• 623 Topics in Indic Linguistics (= Sanskrit 623; prereq: 622)
