. . .muzak. . .

I was really into hardcore from about 16 onward. No shit, I've probably been to over a thousand shows. I used to take being a part of "the scene" and being straight edge way too seriously but that isn't really an issue now living in the land of Guinness (and soon Molson). I still listen to louder music and I still have a soft spot for smaller, lesser known bands because you don't have to pay 50 bucks to stand half a football field away from them. I think music should be meaningful and personal. But I can respect artist's desire to make a living at what they love. I can still like bands on MTV but it is more on a different level. Marketing sadly plays too much of a role in most bands there, in my opinion, and I'd love to see it all come crashing down :-).
At the moment I listen to Fugazi way too much but have been blown away by Irish rock sensations Turn. I'm also addicted to Rival Schools at the moment. And others too. I've also blown the dust off my Mighty Mighty Bosstones albums after seeing "Clueless" lately (haha).
