오하이오 주립대 Department of Speech and Hearing Science의 Jan Edwards 교수님과 언어학과의 Mary Beckman 교수님이 미국립 보건원(National Institutes of Health)의 연구비 지원(NIH grant, 2003)을 받아 연구하는 "4개국 어린이들의 음운 습득" (Cross-linguistic phonological acquisition of four languages; English, Greek, Cantonese, and Japanese, 누리 집사본) 프로젝트에서 연구 조교로 일함 .
임무: 각 언어 담당 연구 조교들의 임무 부여, 관리, 조정. 또한 비원어민 조교로서 자료 처리. 프랏(Praat) 스크립트를 이용하여 각 단계 작업을 자동화.

2002년 9월 – 2003년 9월

펜실베니아 대학 트리뱅크 프로젝트(Penn Korean Treebank Project of the University of Pennsylvania, http://www.cis.upenn.edu/~xtag/koreantag/ , 누리집사본). 의 오하이오 주립대 측 책임자.
임무: 두 명의 한국인 연구인으로 하여금 Linguistic Data Consortium(LDC)의 Korean Newswire corpus (ISBN: 1-58563-168-4, Courtesy of Korean Press Agency)에서 선정된 문장들을 구문분석(morpho-syntactic bracketing)하도록 교육하고 조정 관리함.
