• My Long Way to OSU
  

  • I was born in the city of Jingmen, Hubei Province, China in 1971.
  • My family moved to Beijing in 1975.
  • I went to Beijing Language Institute (now known as Beijing Language and Culture University) in 1990, majoring in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language .
  • I worked in the Division of Overseas Business at China State Construction Engineering Corporation from 1994 to 2000.
  • In 1998 and 1999, I was hired for simultaneous interpretation by the International Labor Organization , UN in Geneva, Switzerland.
  • I studied linguistics in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 2000 to 2002.
  • Since 2002, I have been working on my Ph.D in the Department of Linguistics at the Ohio State University.
  • In 2006, I spent four months working as an intern in the Natural Language Processing group at Bosch RTC in Palo Alto, California.
