 In November, 2004, I made the choice to stop playing and releasing music under the name Tengram--the identity I had primarily been performing under since November, 1994. After a decade of "doing Tengram," I decided that I had taken the music as far as it could go. Beginning in early 2005, I set about the task of starting work on new music under my own name for over_tone, the follow up to my 2002 album under_score (dcd-12). Over the last three years, this work has progressed slowly, as I have been splitting my time between pursuing graduate studies in linguistics and working on music. As of April, 2008, however, the album is now finished and ready for release. over_tone (DCD-16) is released on cd on April 22, 2008 (with an Itunes release to follow). This time around, I played all the instruments my self (guitars, bass guitar, keyboards, synth, electronic drums), as well as creating all the looped material used.
