History:
Spent deformative years kissing cacti in the Upper
Sonoran desert.
Worked as rest home orderly, delivery driver, pan
polisher, professional juicer,
shadetree mechanic's assistant, oilfield
roustabout, salvage agent,
worm-growing kit salesman, and cabinetmaker.
Took 25 years and three majors (creative writing,
systems engineering, linguistics) to earn a B.A.
