     Weezy -  a shoe-wearing (self-described) native Kentuckian , infinitely patient, debatable taste in partners.

        Gabe - Mechanical genius since the age of 2, lifelong artist, cool dude; future industrial designer.

        Emerin - Loquacious since before she described herself as such at age 4, adventurous cook since age 8, a

                      princess; future radiation oncologist/lawyer.

        Mariel - Dancer, performer of incredible presence, totally in touch with the "culture"; future diva.

 

        All:  intelligent, funny, caring, and generous, and GEMs are living proof of the receding tide in my gene pool.

 

Interests:   Language contact, San Juan Bautista de Atepec Zapotec, English intonation, Language and Gender

Pastimes:
        Avid worm drowner (the difference between a fisherman and a bum is the pole)
        Unpracticed musician (no bucket fits the tunes)
        Unabashed punster (but often bashed)

History:
        Spent deformative years kissing cacti in the Upper Sonoran desert.
        Worked as rest home orderly, delivery driver, pan polisher, professional juicer, shadetree mechanic's assistant,
                oilfield roustabout, salvage agent, worm-growing kit salesman, and cabinetmaker.
        Took 25 years and three majors (creative writing, systems engineering, linguistics) to earn a B.A.
