Editor assignment

1. In your favorite programmable Unix editor (acquire one if you don't have one), arrange things so that you can enter your name with a keystroke or two. This requires you to learn how to do a simple customization of your editor.

2. Work out how to enter your name into a document 3416 times, and do so. Without typing it that many times.

3. Now you know how to program commands for your editor, write another command to do something a bit different. Extra kudos if useful.
